Create a culture where it’s safe to speak up – and where leadership upgrades, upskills, and uplifts.
What Is Speak Safe?
Speak Safe is a high-impact training experience, tailored for organisations that are committed to creating psychologically safe, legally compliant, and emotionally intelligent workplaces.
Led by renowned facilitator Anton Guinea, the program empowers leaders and teams to understand what psychological safety means in practice – and how to live it out through communication, empathy, responsibility, and inclusive leadership.
Why Psychological Safety Matters
What is Psychological Safety?
Psychological safety is the belief that you can speak up, share ideas, make mistakes, and ask for help – without fear of resentment, ridicule, or rejection.
It’s the foundation of trust, team performance, and employee wellbeing.
When people feel safe at work:
- They speak up with new ideas
- They admit errors without shame
- They challenge unsafe or unethical behaviour (or language – Speak Safe)
- They collaborate more effectively
But when psychological safety is missing, people stay silent. And silence can be dangerous – for your culture, your outcomes, and your compliance obligations.
It’s Not Just Smart — It’s the Law
Under Australian WHS legislation, leaders and organisations are required to provide a safe workplace – and that includes psychological as well as physical safety.
Employers must take all reasonable steps to eliminate or manage psychosocial risks in the workplace, including bullying, harassment, and undue stress.
That means:
- You must educate leaders and teams about psychological safety
- You must create systems that reduce psychosocial risks
- You must respond to incidents with care and integrity
The Speak Safe program helps organisations meet these legal duties through practical education, preventative strategies, and behavioural change.
It’s Not Just Legal – It’s the Right Thing to Do
Beyond compliance, psychological safety is a moral obligation.
As leaders, we shape the experiences of the people around us – and that influence can either build someone up or break them down. Every interaction is an opportunity to create inclusion, trust, and dignity.
Creating psychologically safe workplaces is about:
- Doing no harm
- Listening first
- Creating space for all voices
- Standing up to toxic behaviours
- Leading with courage and care
When leaders model these behaviours, it doesn’t just improve safety – it transforms culture.
