How much does your team know about your business. About your business goals and vision. About your culture. About your history. About your back stories. About your successes. About your failures. About who does what job. About who you need to influence for support. About who you can help.
Today, take as an exercise to look around your organisation and think about how much people really know about it. If there is a high level of understanding, congratulations, you are unique. If there is a low level of understanding, that might be an opportunity to talk about where you have come from, and where your business is going.
If you don’t know about business (even ‘who is who in the zoo’), as a leader, go on a mission to find out more. Why? Because the more you know, the more you can buy in.
