Why being a leader is like being Spiderman

Once upon a time, there was a young man named Peter. Peter had some tragedies in his life. He lost his parents, aged 4, in a plane crash and was raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. More tragedy showed up in Peter’s life when he was bitten by a spider, and he was changed irreversibly. Then, a robber broke into their house, and Uncle Ben was fatally injured. Uncle Ben left a lasting legacy on Peter’s life, when, in his dying moments, he shared with Peter the amazing wisdom that “with great power, comes great responsibility”.  

A great message, and a great story, about Peter Parker. Aka, Spiderman.  

And Peter (and anyone who watches the movies or follows the story) can learn from those words and remember them. Always. And that is what leadership is about. Leaving a legacy that sets your team members up for success, with great advice. Not the opposite.
